Hi! My name is Jenny. I've been travelling on and off for over 10 years and have visited over 40 countries across 6 continents. I began at 18 with a trip to Peru from Durham, UK where I grew up and have never looked back. I'm lucky that I've found a companion to travel with and you will hear lots about Jord in this blog too.
I like to travel slowly, spend time in a country and get to know the place, the people, the traditions and of course, the food. I love living abroad and truly immersing myself in another culture and have been lucky enough to live in Ghana, China, Spain, Ecuador, Kenya and Australia, mainly using my skills as a CELTA teacher.
As a travelling couple we love the outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, visiting waterfalls and exploring national parks. I particularly love being by the water whether that's the sea, rivers, lakes, snorkelling, swimming or kayaking. I have recently started slalom kayaking in the UK and want to take this new passion abroad too.
I am a great believer that everyone should travel if they so desire and not be held back by money worries or nerves which led me to create this blog that aims to provide detailed, practical advice to help others, as well as inspire those on the edge to take the leap.
